About Us

The City of Brookville Police Department is a full service police department that has 12 full time officers, three part time officers and one administrative assistant. The police department has a full time detective, a part time crime prevention officer and Chaplain. We contract dispatch services with the City of Englewood Dispatch Center.

Motto


In 2012, we created our new motto of "Excellence in Service." We feel that community service is paramount and we strive to serve as role models in our daily performance. We continue to have a strong relationship with the Brookville Local Schools and enjoy working with the youth of our community. We hope that by building solid and long lasting relationships with all members of our community will pay dividends in making them lifelong residents of Brookville.

The police department believes in community oriented policing and offers numerous community programs and services which include:

  • Crime Prevention Programs
  • Female Self-Defense Classes
  • Neighborhood Watch Programs
  • Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Program (located in our police lobby)
  • Pre-School Trike-A-Thon
  • School related educational programs
  • Vacation House Checks
  We plan on conducting the department's first Citizens Police Academy in late 2014.
