The Electric Aggregation Program for residents of the City of Brookville began on September 1, 2023. The current residential rate is 6.57 per kWh. This rate is good until December of 2025. To enroll or to ask questions about the program, please call Energy Harbor at 1-866-636-3749. If your supplier is with someone other than AES, you will have to cancel your contract with that company prior to submitting an enrollment request.
Tax rates are computed in mills. A mill is $1 for each $1,000 of taxable value. Please see the Montgomery County tax rates for more information.
Small amounts of yard waste can be placed in your regular trash can for pick up by Rumpke. Limbs can also be bundled and set out with your trash for regular pick up. Bundled limbs should be no larger than four feet long by two feet wide.
Call the City office at 937-833-2135. A recycling container will be delivered to your house.

The City will pick up large tree limbs for a minimum charge of $25 for the first ten minutes and $2 per additional minute after the first ten minutes. If you have large limbs to be picked up, please call the City office at (937)833-2135, Monday – Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to be put on a list. Limbs need to be placed all in the same direction with the cut end facing the street, and in neat piles. If you have small amounts of limbs or yard waste, they can be put out with your regular trash for pick up by Rumpke at no additional charge.
Tires, paint, mechanical fluids, auto parts, batteries, and gas cylinders are considered hazardous materials and should not be placed in your trash or recycling.

1. Mail check and payment coupon to City if Brookville at P.O. Box 10 Brookville, Ohio 45309
2. Pay in Person at the City Office Building located at 301 Sycamore Street.
3. Locked Drop Box in front of the City Building at 301 Sycamore Street.

No permit is required to hold a garage sale. Garage sale signs must follow the City of Brookville Sign Ordinance. Please view our Sign Code for more information.
Montgomery County Building Department provides all plan review and inspection of new construction and repairs to commercial construction, as well as, residential building code enforcement services for the City of Brookville. These services include the review of all plans and specifications for construction and alteration of commercial buildings, 1, 2, and 3-family home, room additions, and accessory structures, as well as related HVAC, gas piping, and electrical work. Contractors, and owners are required to secure building and inspection permits from Montgomery County Building Regulations Division.
