Law Director Rodney Stephan
The Law Director provides legal consultation, litigation,
legal approval of documents, legal advice on questions of
law and procedures, and written opinions on city-related
matters as well as representation on other city matters. |

The Finance Department is comprised of the Utility Office,
Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll.
The Department is also responsible for maintaining an
inventory of all fixed assets of the City as well as the
investments of City funds. The Finance Department oversees
and institutes policies and procedures for the collection,
deposit and reporting of all monies received by the City.
Each year a Basic Financial Statement is prepared. This
report provides an overall review of the City’s financial
activities for the year. A copy is available for review in
the Finance Department.
The Finance Director is responsible for all phases of
human resources, labor relations, safety and insurance for
the City. |

The Brookville Police Department is pleased to have this
opportunity to be able to introduce the department and the
many services we provide to the community.
The Brookville Police Department takes great pride in
providing the best service possible to the community. To
insure that we continue to provide the best service, the
philosophy of the Brookville Police Department has been
and will continue to be that no one officer is singled out
as the Community Relations Officer, but that all members
of the department are responsible for carrying out the
role of Community Relations Officer. We have approximately
1,193 residences and 162 businesses and industries located
in the City. We patrol 30 miles of roadway. The Brookville
Police Department serves a population of 5,289 (2000
census) and covers a land area of 3.3 square miles.
We currently have several Neighborhood Watch Programs
throughout the Brookville area. If you are interested in
starting a Neighborhood Watch Program in your
neighborhood, please call the Police Department, Monday –
Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. |

The City of Brookville Fire Department is dedicated to
providing exceptional services through cost effective
innovation, employee excellence and customer service.
The Brookville Fire Department began its service in 1883
when Brookville was a community of 800 people. The
department now provides both Fire and Emergency Medical
services and covers approximately 36 square miles and a
population of over 15,000. In 2006, Brookville responded
to more than 1,500 calls for assistance. The mission of
the Brookville Fire Department is to provide Emergency
Medical Services, Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression and
Technical Rescue.
EMS Billing
In June of 2001, City Council approved legislation that
allowed the Division of Fire to bill customers for
emergency medical services. The Brookville Fire Department
charges the Medicare suggested rates, plus mileage to our
customer’s health insurance carrier. The Brookville Fire
Department contracts with MED3000, Inc. to carry out our
billing.
